Read to Lead

Summer Sites

IWRBR has partnered with Evolve 502, Metro Parks, and JCPS to host eight Backpack League sites at community centers across the city.  

 

 

What does a day at camp look like?  

 

9:00 - 11:00: Breakfast, morning meeting, social emotional learning, 

                        whole group reading, math, arts & crafts activities.  

11:00 -11:30: Lunch 

11:30- 1:45: Enrichment (dance, yoga, drama, STEM, etc.), physical activity, swimming lessons. *Sun Valley only

1:45 - 2:00 p.m.- Prepare to go home 

Community Center Sites : Southwick, Beechmont, Portland, Park Hill,  South Louisville, Douglass, Sun Valley, and Berrytown.

Outdoor Biology Class

Co-Teacher Positions Available

This role includes greeting students each morning, preparing materials for activities, serving meals, playground duty, and engaging with children during lessons and enrichment activities.
