At IWRBR, we believe that the work we do truly takes a village. That is why we are always looking for strong partnerships with other organizations to fulfill our mission. We have collaborated with many nonprofits across Louisville who share the same core values to provide programming for students and families. If you are interested in meshing ideas and resources to improve literacy outcomes for students in south and west Louisville, let’s connect!
We have several training courses offered for educators, nonprofit staff, and families.
TIRM Training: An in-depth, 30 hour training for educators to increase instructional capacity in the areas of literacy assessment, lesson design, differentiation, and trauma-informed strategies to use in the classroom.
Trauma-Informed Reading Block: Participants learn the foundations of the literacy block and how to successfully implement these practices in a variety of settings including after-school programming and the classroom.
