I Would Rather Be Reading is "Mixing it Up" and looking to recruit a few Board and Event Planning Committee members. Meet the IWRBR team and current Board members on October 19th. Attendees will learn more about our organization, and how their specific talents can help propel our mission forward.

About the event
I Would Rather Be Reading's mission is to provide equitable access to trauma responsive literacy support and social-emotional learning to children across greater Louisville. Since 2018 we have grown from an organization that supported 9 children at 1 summer camp, to year round programming for 240 children at seven Louisville Parks and Recreation Community Center sights and JCPS schools across the city.
In order to sustain growth and the impact we have on our community, we're looking to strengthen our Event Planning and Volunteer committees, as well as our Executive Board.
We are inviting professionals who have an interest in education, literacy, and youth development to pop in our office on October 19th anytime between 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. I Would Rather Be Reading staff and current Board members will be on site to provide you with more information about our organization and mission, as well as describe committee and board needs in more detail. Light appetizers and cocktails will be provided.
