I Would Rather Be Reading has partnered with Dixie Valley Church of God to provide NTI support to JCPS families
Children in K- 8th grade are assisted with assigned NTI classwork, and provided daily reading and math enrichment activities planned by certified teachers and taught by childcare professionals. All CDC guidelines will be followed for social distancing.

Shively NTI Camp
Morning Session
The morning session runs from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Monday- Friday , with drop off starting as early as 8:30 a.m. Since most live sessions take place in the a.m. We focus on ensuring children attend classes, complete 1-2 assignments each day. We provide age appropriate math and literacy enrichment activities if time permits. Children receive twenty minutes of physical activity each day.
Afternoon Session
The afternoon session runs from 1:30 p.m. -4:30 p.m. Monday- Friday, with drop off starting as early as 1:00 p.m. Since live sessions take place mostly in the a.m., students are typically able to complete 2-3 assignments each day, and engage in age appropriate math and literacy enrichment
activities. Children will also participate in twenty minutes of physical activity, related arts, and community service projects.
Full Day
Students receive the benefit of completing all live lessons and assignments.
Breakfast and lunch is provided, but families have the option to send children with a packed lunch.
Hybrid Model
Beginning March 15th, we will be open five days a week in order to meet the needs of all students and families.

IWRBR Summer Camp
Read Today Lead Tomorrow
The IWRBR team has created an epic summer program where students come to learn and have fun. While at camp, all children engage in grade appropriate, art and game based, reading and math instruction. 1:1 and small group reading intervention is available to students who need it at no extra cost. Fun Friday activities include field trips, games, and water activities.
Camp Dates: June 1st- June 21st
August 2nd- 6th
Hours: 8:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.
-Students can be dropped off as late as 9:00.

In addition to everything listed above, students will receive critical thinking and social emotional learning support from JCPS teachers, mental health supports, enrichment, and transportation.
